What is a phototype?
The human race has different skin tones, ranging from pale white to black, which are classified into 6 phototypes.
Although the skin's cells and structures are identical irrespective of phototype, melanin density and disposition is different: the darker the skin, the larger the melanocytes and the greater the amount of melanin they produce.
